If you saw Resident Evil: Extinction, you’re probably wondering how Oded Fehr is returning as the character Carlos Olivera in Resident Evil: Retribution.  It’s an easy answer: cloning.  However, before you start to think that his character is going to be a good guy that teams up with Alice (Milla Jovovich) to kick some Umbrella ass, it’s not that straight forward of an answer.  As Olivera told a group of visiting online reporters last month on set:

“The interesting thing is, I come back as two different guys on this one. There’s a dynamic to the relationship with Milla’s character, and then there’s the other side. He’s working for the Umbrella again.”

I have installed vBulletin and test converted the forum once. It went so fast and easy, that I’m doing to “real” conversion immediately. There’s some maintenance and fixing I will need to do after, but I should be able to re-open the forum later today or no later than tomorrow.

I’ll post here when it’s all done and ready, or if there’s any problems.

Update:

All’s imported over and working as it should, but there is one thing that needs fixing that the importer couldn’t handle properly. It’s more of a cosmetic thing, but it does make posts that use the feature in question harder to read and uglier, so I’m not opening the forum just yet.  I paid someone to get a copy of a custom script they had had made earlier to fix the issue, hopefully I’ll get it soon! I’ll keep you posted.

Just a quick note to say, that the gallery has a new look! It’s one of the themes available for fan-sites.org hostees and I like it very much I hope you do too!

I’ll be on a semi-hiatus from November 24, 2011 (tomorrow) to December 8, 2011.

I won’t be home at all during that time, and while I will have my laptop with me… I’ll only have access to a slowish Internet connection. So I will handle site maintenance stuff such as script updates and server crises (if any) as normal. But I won’t have most of my files and other resources (they’re on external hard drives) so everything else, like screencaps/screencapping, will have to wait until I’m back home again.

As you can see, we have a new look here on the main site. I quite like it, I hope you like it too!

I have also gone through the pages here, and removed some old ones (mailing lists, webrings) because they were history now. Also added a Contact Form, and a page about the site history.

Thanks to Suzettemonpetite, we have a little more information on Jane By Design:

I found some info on the series – actually called Jane by Design.  Oded’s character is named Beau.  Here’s a link to the episodes.  There is a synopsis of each – you can see the ones Beau appears in.
